From your course home page, use the following steps to set up a forum.

  1. Navigate to the chapter/module that you'd like to add the forum to.
  2. Click on Add an assignment or resource.
  3. Select Forum.
  4. Enter the Forum Name field.
  5. Enter the Description field.
  6. Check Display description on course page.
  7. Under Subscription and tracking, change Subscription mode to Forced Subscription.
  8. Under Ratings, change Aggregate type to Maximum Rating.
  9. Enter the amount you want the Maximum Rating to be.
  10. If you want to set a due date, check Restrict ratings to items with dates in this range, and fill in the From and To fields.
