NOTE:  Unless the assignment is Turned OFF via the Assignment Dates screen, a Hidden assigment is required and will be calculated as part of the student's grade.

An instructor has the ability to Hide assignments from students.  Assignments that are Hidden will not appear in the student's course.  Be sure to Reveal the assignment before the set Opening Date/Time to make it visible to students.


Use of the Hide feature will make the assignment unavailable on our platform as well as on the school's LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, etc.), if integrated.

Hide an Assignment


1.   From within the Course, navigate to the assignment.

2.   Click the green Eye icon to Hide the associated assignment.


  • The icon will turn Red when the assignment is Hidden

Reveal a Hidden Assignment


1.   From within the Course, navigate to the assignment.


2.   Click the red Eye icon to Reveal the associated assignment.



  • The icon will turn Green when the assignment is visible to students.
    • Note: Visible does NOT mean accessible; it simply means that students can see the assignment listed on their course page. Students can only enter the assignment within the Opening/Closing window set in the Timing for the assignment.
